Ann is a tutor on the Leadership for INClusion in the Early Years (LINC) Programme since 2018 and is very passionate about the inclusion of all children. Ann has a BA (Hons) in Montessori Education (Cork Institute of Technology) and a Masters in Adult and Further Education (Mary Immaculate College). Before joining the LINC team, Ann previously worked with Cork ETB as a tutor delivering QQI Level 5 and 6 Early Childhood Care and Education modules. Ann also has a keen interest in the professionalisation and upskilling of the early years sector and has researched mentoring within the early childhood field. She has co-written and co-developed content for an innovative Level 8 Special Purpose Certificate in Professional Mentoring for Early Childhood Practice and is currently co-writing a book ‘Professional Mentoring for Early Childhood Practice’ (Springer Nature 2023). Ann also works part-time as a facilitator for the National Parents Council Primary delivering a wide range of training programmes to parents of children in primary school and early years education. Ann is co-author of ‘Leading Inclusion from the Inside Out A Handbook for Parents and Early Childhood Teachers in Early Learning and Care, Primary and Special School Settings’ (Peter Lang 2021).
