Dr. Patricia Daly

Born in Cork, Patricia M. Daly is a graduate of UCC, taught in Adamstown (Co.Wexford) and Macroom (Co. Cork), and completed the post-primary Remedial course at St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra in 1978. She completed an M.A. in Emotional and Behavioural Disorders (1982), and a Ph.D. in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Ohio State University in 1986. She worked in undergraduate and graduate special education in the US at Miami University of Ohio, Central Michigan University, and Ohio Dominican University from 1986 until 2006 when she returned to Mary Immaculate College to direct the graduate diploma in SEN here. She is currently Head of the Department of Special Education and was seconded half time to the SESS as a Senior Adviser for Behaviour. She has helped to provide CPD for teachers in the area of Autistic Spectrum Disorders countrywide including with Middletown Centre for Autism in Northern Ireland.
