
Marion Brennan

Marion has been involved in early childhood education and care for 20+ years, working to begin with as a playgroup leader within both private and community settings. Until recently she was Head of Training in Early Childhood Ireland (ECI) where she managed a team of early childhood specialists and trainers supporting the delivery of quality training both accredited and non-accredited for the early year’s sector. With responsibility for the training of trainers within ECI she also provided ‘trainer of trainers’ for the wider sector. Marion managed the Erasmus + programme which provides opportunities through ECI for trainers to engage in professional learning progammes across Europe. Graduating from Dublin City University in 2007 with a MSc. in Education and Training Management she was also awarded an MSc. in Group Analysis from UCD. in 2015. Marion lectures on the BA in Early Childhood Teaching and Learning at the Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education in Maynooth University. She supervises Practicum and thesis students at both Masters and Undergraduate levels. Her particular areas of interest are Reflective Practice, Action Research and Continuous Professional Learning. Marion currently works as an early years’ consultant.
