Amy Walsh has worked in the Early Years and Education sector in Ireland for over 12 years. She graduated from University College Cork in 2010 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies. Following her graduation, Amy owned and managed her own private preschool service for 11 years, where she enjoyed many happy and successful years working across a range of roles including Room Leader, Mentor, Supervisor, and Manager.
Alongside her work in early childhood education, Amy further developed her professional expertise by completing a Masters degree in Audiology. She went on to work as a Paediatric Audiologist within the HSE, an experience that significantly strengthened her commitment to inclusion and supporting children with additional needs. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning, Amy later broadened her educational background by graduating from Southeast Technological University (SETU) with a Postgraduate Diploma in Further Education and Training.
Following this qualification, Amy worked with Tipperary Education and Training Board (ETB) for over four and a half years, delivering QQI Level 5 and Level 6 modules in Childcare and Special Needs Assisting, as well as Adult Literacy programmes and Family Learning courses. She also worked as a Professional Practice Placement Supervisor with Chevron College, where she shared her guidance, knowledge, and expertise with students undertaking Level 7 and Level 8 Early Learning and Care degree programmes. Amy strongly fosters the value of inclusion and inclusive practice and looks forward to sharing her experience and passion with fellow professionals across the Early Years and School-Age Childcare (SAC) sectors on the LINC Programme.
