Dr Trevor O’Brien

Dr. Trevor O’ Brien is a faculty member of the Department of Educational Psychology, Inclusive and Special Education since 2012. Prior to joining the team at Mary Immaculate College, he spent many years working as a classroom teacher and as a learning support/resource teacher. Trevor has lectured in the Department of Adult Education, University College, Cork and has extensive experience of working in a blended learning environment. His doctoral thesis focused on children’s perspectives of special education in the Irish context and his areas of research include the social construction of disability, learner voice, the inclusion debate and CPD for both primary and post primary teachers.
