Marie Ryan

Marie Ryan began her career as a primary teacher following graduation from the BEd in Education & Psychology programme in Mary Immaculate College. She moved into special education, working as a learning support/resource teacher and completed a Graduate Diploma in special educational needs. Marie completed the professional masters in educational psychology in UCD and qualified as an educational psychologist. Marie returned to Mary Immaculate College as a lecturer and has taught developmental psychology and educational psychology on the BEd, BEd in Education & Psychology, BAECCE and BAECP programmes. Marie is a placement supervisor for undergraduate practicum experiences in primary and early childhood settings. She is currently the programme coordinator of the BEd in Education & Psychology programme. Marie has a particular interest in infant classroom assessment and is completing her PhD in the University of Cambridge on this area.
