Denise Sheridan

LINC+ CPD Tutor

Denise Sheridan is the LINC CPD Programme Tutor. Denise has a Masters in Early Childcare studies, an Ad Dip in Inclusive Education and an MBA. Denise runs her own preschool Ulla Beag in East Clare. Ulla Beag is a multi award winning Reggio Inspired Green Nature school in East Clare working through the An Taisce’s Green Schools program. Her service engages with the wider community to deliver projects which provide opportunities for all children to engage in the Arts and Denise volunteers on the East Clare Child and Family Network representing the early years sector in a community of collaborative practice.
Denise graduated from the LINC program in 2017. In 2021 Denise began working in Early Years research after working as a Research Practitioner on the end of 3 year evaluation of AIM and following on from this leading the publication of a Frontiers special edition paper focusing on Engaging Practitioners as co-researchers in National Policy Evaluations. In 2022 Denise worked as a student placement supervisor on the BA Degree in the Department of Reflective Pedagogy and Early Childhood Studies and as a LINC Assistant Tutor.
In 2023 Denise completed her UDL badge with MIC and published A guide to Action Research for Early Years . Her research focuses on bringing the voice of the child to every day decision making and researching with children. She has contributed to many research articles and students research studies as an advocate for Early years teachers, the role of the INCO and children’s voice and choice.
