Tracey Cannon
LINC Tutor
Tracey Cannon has worked in the Early Years sector in Ireland and internationally for the past 16 years. During this time, she has held a range of roles including Educator, Inclusion Coordinator, Manager, and Service Provider across both Early Learning and Care (ELC) and School-Age Childcare (SAC) services.
She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning from Hibernia College, as well as a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Care and Education from Mary Immaculate College (MIC). Since returning to Ireland in 2020, Tracey has been encouraged by the significant progress made in inclusive education within the Early Years sector, particularly following the introduction of the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) in 2016. She was pleased to further her own professional development by participating in the LINC Programme in 2023.
In 2024, Tracey began working in adult education, delivering Level 5 and Level 6 Special Needs Assisting courses. She found that many of the skills developed throughout her career in ELC and SAC were highly transferable to adult education and valued the opportunity to share practical, first-hand experiences with learners. Tracey strongly believes that continuous professional development and training are essential to the delivery of high-quality, inclusive, and meaningful early childhood education for all children.
